Built in 1834 in the Greek Revival style, this significant wood-framed structure is one of the earliest and finest Town Halls in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Listed on the State and National Registers of Historic Places, the building has been in continuous use as the local house of government.
McGinley Kalsow & Associates led the comprehensive interior and exterior renovation/restoration of this significant historic building. Project goals restored the unused second floor Auditorium to an active civic and cultural assembly space, reconfigured first floor town administrative offices to increase efficiency and functionality, updated mechanical, electrical, communication and fire protection systems, and provided user accessibility and ADA compliance and restored the exterior building envelope.
