  Paul J. McGinley AICP receives the
Victorian Society in America Lifetime Achievement Award

June, 2006: The Victorian Society in America, New England Chapter presented its 2006 Lifetime Achievement Award to Paul McGinley at their 34th Annual Preservation Awards ceremony on June 30, 2006. This award recognized Paul’s 40 years of dedication and service to historic preservation throughout New England. Among his career accomplishments are the planning and restoration of Newburyport’s award-winning Historic Downtown Waterfront; numerous downtown revitalization and adaptive use projects throughout New England; and historic consultation services to local, state and federal agencies on bridges, railroads, parkways and structures of all types. Particularly noted was the revered Adaptive Use course that he taught for eight years in the Boston University Preservation Program, along with his interest and commitment to the 17th century architecture in his hometown of Ipswich.
